Formed in the early 1990’s Thorpe Willoughby Cricket Club currently have 2 teams playing in the York Vale League with their home games being played at the Field Lane Sports Centre. As a club we are committed to our Junior Section, from which we hope the players of the future will come. We were awarded the ECB Clubmark qualification in 2013 so that parents can be assured that their children are being coached in a safe and supportive environment. We have 5 qualified coaches who are all members of the ECB Coaches Association and have First Aid qualifications and CRB certificates. We will be announcing our junior coaching plans for 2015 during January 2015.

Facilities

We have a two lane outdoor net facility for adults and juniors to train in a safe environment. This is a fully enclosed facility so that we can train when other sports are being played without the risk of players being hit by stray cricket balls.

During the summer we train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (weather permitting) and welcome new members of all ages and ability levels.
