Following the wonderful success of the Halloween, Advent, Rainbow and VE windows in 2020 within Thorpe Willoughby we would like to encourage everyone to get involved with a new window theme for March – Spring Flowers.

The flowers will be something cheerful for people to spot on their daily walk, to view in neighbours’ windows when shielding or indeed for the children to spot as they return to school.

Flowers could be drawn, crafted, printed, or grown so please do join in and get creative. I guarantee every single one will be so appreciated by each passer-by who views them.

Spring flowers symbolise new beginnings and hope, there really is nothing like spotting your first snowdrop to know a New Year has arrived and warmer days are on the way.

Children at both Thorpe Willoughby Primary School and the Children Centre are being encouraged to get involved and get creative too so there is sure to be some amazing artwork on display soon!

I for one have a seven-year-old very keen to draw on our windows again… as am I if I’m honest .. his  artwork will be beautiful I’m sure and mine less so but that really doesn’t matter…. let’s all just enjoy creating, spotting, and enjoying the flowers in what I hope will be another successful window display event in our friendly village.

 How can you get involved?

If you would like to get involved that’s brilliant, thank you.

Please just place your flower in your window, there will be no trail created for this one so the more the merrier.
